JOHN M. MCAULIFFE

Senior Counsel
John devotes his practice to comprehensive representation of his many business clients.  He concentrates largely on commercial law bankruptcy issues involved in Chapter 7 and 11 cases, as well as consumer law issues in Chapter 7, 11 & 13 cases.  John successfully guides and counsel his business clients through complicated Chapter 11 proceedings in order to restructure their businesses.  He has an excellent success rate in winning adversary proceedings and confirming Chapter 11 cases in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.  He has been involved in Chapter 11 cases in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Hampshire and Maine.  In addition to his bankruptcy work, John represents his clients in transactions, loan workouts with lenders, lease negotiations, licensing board matters, contract disputes, employment issues and commercial litigation.  John also has extensive experience in real estate acquisitions and development.  John's clients report that he delivers excellent results with rates well below Boston law firms.

Lana focuses her law practice on representing businesses in the resolution of their contractual disputes, with a concentration in commercial litigation, contract enforcement, tortious interference issues, and unfair and deceptive business practices (M.G.L. Chapter 93A).  Lana’s business clients range from small local entities to Fortune 500 companies.  Lana employs her knowledge of contract law and her extensive experience in her field to pursue and resolve all manner of contractual disputes.  Lana enjoys an excellent record of recovering monetary damages, retaining business for her clients, as well as insulating her clients from potential contractual liability.

KATHRYN PELLEGRINO

Associate 

Kathryn focuses on representing businesses and individuals in all aspects of bankruptcy practice, including chapters 7, 11, and 13.   She has significant experience in bankruptcy and pre-bankruptcy workout matters.  Kathryn has been instrumental in leading several corporations through successful chapter 11 reorganizations as well as chapter 7 liquidations.  In addition, Kathryn assists individuals throughout the bankruptcy process from the initial consultation through receipt of their discharge of debts.

Kathryn also represents buyers and sellers in residential real estate transactions as well as sales of commercial properties and business.    Kathryn’s real estate experience also includes negotiating and drafting leases on behalf of Lessees and Lessors.

In addition, Kathryn assists clients in estate planning, including drafting of last will and testaments, health care proxies, and living wills.
